Objective

The redesign of the interface for "Maron Décor" an architectural and interior designing company, aims to elevate their online presence to accurately portray their identity as a design-focused company. Encompassing aspects ranging from construction and remodeling to interior design, the objective is to develop a comprehensive website that prioritizes optimal client experiences.

Target Audience

Prospective clients seeking new construction and architectural design services, individuals interested in remodeling and upgrading existing residential or commercial structures, and builders and constructors in search of interior design solutions for their ongoing projects.

Site Mapping

After the initial call and the examination of the client's online portfolio, an attempt was made to summarize the main values of the company. Based on these values, a work flow was created, and it was discussed and agreed upon during the first meeting.

Ideation

The process began with ideas being brainstormed on post-its and clustered into different problems. Ideas were sketched for the four major areas that would pose a problem for users, particularly for the user persona. After brainstorming and sketching, impractical or out-of-scope ideas were eliminated.

Every architectural project inevitably entails a substantial volume of construction drawings. Given that transparency ranks among the fundamental values of Maron Décor, it is imperative to emphasize that these drawings and images are seamlessly integrated into every project page. This practice serves as a tangible demonstration of commitment to openness and clarity in design processes.

User Interview

User interviews were scheduled to gather qualitative insights on experiences, preferences, and pain points. A structured guide was used to explore backgrounds, usage patterns, challenges, needs, and feature feedback. Insights were synthesized into personas and journey maps, informing design decisions for a more intuitive and user-friendly product.
